What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We use your contact information to fulfill your order and to contact you about it if necessary. We may also ask you if you would like to review your purchase.  We retain your details for a short while so that we can deal with any queries or problems you may have.  We will not share any of this information with any other business.

If you book a party we will ask you for details of any allergies or dietary requirements that you or any of your guests may have in order to keep your party safe.  We may also ask you for ages of children or notification of any special needs in order to enable maximum participation and a safe and appropriate environment.  We will not share any of this information with any other business.  We may hold this information for a month after your event.

If you opt to join our mailing list we will use the email you supply to send you details of our latest products, live streams and any special offers we are running.  You can opt out at any time and we will remove your details.

Our online Payment Service Provider is PayPal and they will also collect certain information from you; your name, your email address, the delivery address, your phone number and your credit or debit card information. This information is then used by PayPal to process your order, and their Privacy Policy applies to their use of that information.

If you choose to telephone us to make a payment for a purchase it will be taken on secure terminal.  We are PCI compliant.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

Contact forms are sent directly to us and not shared with any other party.  They are used to respond to your enquiry.

Cookies

Certain cookies are required for this website and checkout to function.  We are not using cookies to target advertising or to track you once you leave this site.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

We do not share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.  We do not sell on any of your data.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

Is used to contact you regarding enquiries and orders and to fulfil orders.  If you have opted in to our mailing list then we will share your name and email address with Mailchimp in order to send you occasional emails regarding events and workshops, new products and special offers.  You can opt out at any time using the link at the bottom of the emails.  Their data protection policy applies.

Additional information

How we protect your data

All payments made online go directly through Paypal’s payment gateway; we do not have access to any of your financial information.

All till receipts from card payments are securely destroyed, we do not keep any record of them, other than payment amounts required for accounting purposes.

What data breach procedures we have in place

If we are made aware of any data breach we will inform the relevant authorities as required by law and inform anyone who is affected.
